In simple terms, Augmented Reality (AR) means “reality” (such as the camera view in a mobile phone) augmented with virtual information about that real thing. One scenario is when you look at the Merlion in Singapore through your iPhone, on your screen, along with the real image of the Merlion, you are able to see historical information of Merlion in text. Here, the real image of Merlion is augmented with virtual historical information. iPhones has the technological capability for AR and Zoliotech has done a few AR projects using iPhone.
